Challenge
Our client came to us with an successful existing product which served a niche as an entry-level instrument used by electricians and others required to quickly prove the safety of electrical products.
Our brief was to enhance the basic unit without significantly increasing cost so that it could command a higher market position and compete against higher cost units from the competition.
Solution
We significantly improved the test circuits, added a display, data-logging and a USB interface so that the unit could be used all day and results downloaded at the end of a shift. All this fitted inside the original enclosure which only needed a new membrane keypad to realise a completely new version of the product.
The final product passed all CE-Mark safety requirements and is now on sale at:
